Just recently, Volvo and Uber signed an agreement for tens of thousands of autonomous driving compatible vehicles to be produced and sold to the ride sharing company between 2019 and 2021. Volvo already produces semi-autonomous driving cars in the S90, XC90 and XC60 and this agreement only furthers the need for such technology.

Over the years, Volvo has made some of the safest, most convenient cars on the market. Now, Volvo has their eyes set on the biggest target of all: commuting to the city. The upcoming Volvo XC40 has been designed from the ground up to be the safest in its class, and we can't wait to see for ourselves.

The big news in the auto industry this week has been Volvo’s announcement that all Volvo cars from 2019 and on will include an electric motor.

That’s not to say that Volvo is completely tossing out the internal combustion engine. But all new-for-2019 and later model Volvos will at least be hybrids, if not fully electric.
